After the completion of his college basketball at Baylor Bears in 2015, he did not make the selection in the 2015 NBA Draft.
He traveled and played his first professional season for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in Germany for just a year.
Royce then played in the Golden State Warriors Summer League team in 2016 which paved the way for him to get another year’s contract at Gran Canaria from 2016 to 2017.
However, Royce finally got a chance in the NBA after signing for the Utah Jazz in 2017. He first played for the Utah Jazz during their 2017 NBA Summer League and he signed for Žalgiris Kaunas.
But after signing for the Lithuanian team, he never played for them and he was able to sign for the Utah Jazz due to the exception in his contract with Žalgiris Kaunas.
